5-Ft. Square Bench, 3/4” 9-Gauge Expanded Metal, 2-3/8” Post - Inground or Surface Mount
This geometric bench is specifically designed to allow for seating around an object. It is made from 3/4” #9 gauge expanded metal.
The seat is coated with ultraviolet stabilized thermoplastic coating, fused and baked to 90% gloss finish. The high gloss finish is important, not only for good looks, but also in helping the ultraviolet stabilizer in the coating decrease fading over years of sunlight exposure. The best choice for corrosive free and maintenance free is thermoplastic coating over steel.
The legs are made from heavy wall 2-3/8” galvanized steel tubing. For added protection and good looks, the frame is coated with baked-on polyester powder coat in addition to the galvanizing.
Optional Surface Mount Covers: The Surface Mount Covers are made of Aluminum with a powder coated finish. They are built to fit around the legs and cover over the surface mounting hardware giving the installed product a more finished look. NOTE: The covers are permanently attached during the production of the bench and cannot be added at a later date.
(When selecting colors, please keep in mind that Thermoplastic Coating for tables and seats and Powder Coating for frames may not be exactly the same color--i.e., Light Blue Thermoplastic Coating for seats and/or table tops and Light Blue Powder Coating for frames may differ.)
Notes on Thermoplastic Colors & Finishes: Traditionally all colors of this product have been made with a gloss finish polyethylene but we have changed over to a matte finish polyethylene. The matte finishes are less susceptible to marring and scratching that may occur with the gloss finishes. Select Mounting Option: Selecting the mounting option below will determine what type of leg/base your product will have. The hardware required to attach the surface mount base is not included since the type of hardware used will vary based on the surface type; hardware may be purchased separately at any local hardware store.
