The Brickell Ten project has magnificent skyline views

A rooftop terrace on a condominium in Miami is certainly a great place to hang out but when you add a brilliant contemporary design, a bar area and trendy, large commercial planters, well then it becomes THE place to be.

That's what the creators of the stunning Brickell Ten condominium project at 1010 SW Second Ave. in Miami accomplished. And part of that appealing design can be seen in the stylish finishing touches to their roof and outdoor pool area on the fifth floor.

The designers installed several large commercial planters with a smooth metallic-like finish supplied by The Park and Facilities Catalog. These charcoal-colored commercial planters give the outdoor spaces a sleek, high-tech appearance.

The molded fiberglass commercial planters measured 72 x 72 x 72 and 36 x 36 x 36. Mini-palm trees were planted inside to coincide with the clean, avant-garde design within a tropical setting of South Florida.

"I just think they are gorgeous," said Debbie Markovich-Waserstein, a consultant on the project. "I am very happy with this product."

Brickell Ten is one popular property. Units are reportedly going fast with closings taking place every day.

It's no wonder why. The contemporary 22-story building has a striking aluminum and glass exterior. The look of the interior was created by Adriana Hoyos, a renowned designer with a global reputation for excellence.

Not only is the architecture awesome, so are the amenities.

Large commercial planters add a dash of green to the blue skyline

The rooftop is lushly landscaped with gardens, large commercial planters and a bar area for people to mingle. All with dramatic city and bay views.

Also accessible from the roof is a "skyview" gym with state-of-the-art fitness equipment and dazzling views.

Add a reflecting pool and several comfortable lounge areas, and you'll wonder why any residents would ever leave the building.

Down on the fifth floor, there is a spacious pool area with a cabana-like setting where another row of fiberglass planters and trees are displayed. The pool itself is 1,600 square feet.

There's also a large club room with kitchen facilities for catered events, a billiards room, business center, gym, BBQ area, kids interior room and an open lawn area with an outside play area for children.

In the bottom floor there is a relaxing lounge with very comfortable seating. The building also includes 13,900 square feet for restaurants and retail stores.

There are a total of 155 units in all, with spacious open-floor designs and floor-to-ceiling glass doors. Residences come in one, two or three bedrooms. There are balconies in all of the units to take in the panoramic Miami views, day and night.

Large commercial planters are a simple way to add an organic flair to any property. Everybody loves plants. They provide shade, fresh air and pleasing aesthetics.

The fiberglass planters used by the Brickell Ten project are a smart move because while they are extremely durable, they are also lightweight. This means they are easy to move and maintain.

Other options would be concrete planters or stone planters, which are better for the ground floor. These planters are heavier.

Brickell Ten made the right choice. The architectural planters harmonize perfectly with the modern design of the structure.

"It's really a beautiful building and all the finishing touches are just fantastic," said Debbie, "It's very high end."

Carrie Georgopoulos, a senior relationship manager with The Park and Facilities Catalog added, "We are very proud to be involved with Brickell Ten. The developers created a world-class building that is now an exquisite addition to the Miami skyline. We love to be a part of exciting projects like this."

Debbie said she was happy with the "reasonable prices" she was quoted for the planters and how The Park Catalog "was able to get them to us in a very short period of time."

If you get a chance, take a look at Brickell Ten (if you are lucky, you might still be able to purchase a unit although there are few left).

It's a fine example of a building built by people who are obviously passionate about creating a fantastic place to live.
