We are all engaged in problem solving solutions to support a more gentle harmonious approach to living with nature. It is grassroots without the water guzzling grass, it is down home dirt without the dust of old ways of doing things and it is plain folk doing extraordinary things. We live in an exciting time where the challenges of environmental issues are being solved by the small backyard changes we are making.

Hooray for us and this blog is here to open the conversation about what it is that we are doing. Parks and park people have always embraced nature and have something to say about it. School gardens have the freshness of a youthful look at gardens and the natural world and community gardens are redefining what it means for a community to share resources. Municipalities understand the distribution of those resources and know that living in harmony with nature is not only cost saving, but also improves the quality of life for citizens.

The Park Catalog wants to be a resource and go to place for not only what to do, but how to do it. We are compiling resources like a list of grants, organizations and statistics that are available to help us along our green pathway. If we all contribute resources we know, we will create a bank of wealthy information.

We will engage in sustainable conversations, spotlight creative solutions to environmental issues, and profile people who have lead the way down the green pathway. What is happening in one small community is happening in all communities across the country.

We know that we are the solution to whatever ails us and want you to participate in this blog as we unravel the solutions. Interested in contributing and leading your own path? Sprout a new connection and grow your voice.
